Darius Philon, the Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle, has been in the season with a knee injury, ESPN reported.
Philon tore the patellar tendon in the playoffs on Sunday night, winning a 35-32 extra time against the Los Angeles Chargers.
He misses Saturday’s wild card game in Cincinnati and could be potentially on the sidelines with the start of a training camp in late July, based on the typical recovery period for injuries.
Philon, who turns 28 this month, will become a free agent in March. He played for a year with a $ 990,000 deal this season.
He recorded 27 tackles, 2 sack and 2 fumble recovery in 11 games (2 starts) in 2021. He has a 11.5 sack in a 65 career game (21 starts) with the San Diego / Los Angeles Chargers (2015-18) and the Raiders.
